Exterior/Interior
Paint on exterior body, door jambs, and trunk is original Alamo Beige color, resprayed about five years ago. Grill, bumpers, and trim all present well, original chrome wiper arms, and new left/right side mirrors. Original steel wheels and hub caps, 195/75-R14 whitewall tires with 90% tread, date code July 2021. Saddle color interior is in excellent condition and is all original except for the reproduction front door armrests (the original armrests are included). All windows roll up/down as they should, all doors, hood, trunk open/close as they should, all locks operated as they should. Original spare tire, jack, lug wrench, and two sets of keys included.

Engine/Transmission

215 c.i. (3.5 liter) straight six-cylinder engine, 98k original miles, runs great without any issues, recent oil and filter change, valve adjustment, new air filter, Pertronix electronic ignition conversion, ignition coil, spark plugs and wires, distributor cap and rotor, vacuum advance and hoses, and fuel hoses. Radiator and heater core are in good condition, with new radiator cap, upper/lower hoses, thermostat, and heater hoses. Engine has good oil pressure and does not overheat. Carburetor, automatic choke, and air cleaner housing are original. Transmission is the original 2-speed Super Turbine 300 (ST-300) automatic, recent fluid and filter service, shifts smoothly and operates with no issues. Rear axle is original with 2.56:1 ratio, recent fluid change, new pinion seal, axle shaft seals, and new housing gaskets.

Suspension/Brakes

The entire front suspension, steering system, rear suspension, and braking system has been rebuilt using OE type components to maintain original design and function. Front/rear control arms are original, rebuilt with new bushings and ball joints. Suspension springs and anti-roll bar are original, with new end links and bushings. Steering tie-rods, center link, pitman arm, and idler arm are all new. The original 24:1 ratio manual steering box (6 turns lock-to-lock) has been replaced with a new 16:1 ratio (4 turns lock-to-lock) to provide a slightly more modern feel (the original steering box is included), along with a new steering coupler (rag joint). Front/rear shock absorber are new low-pressure gas that provide similar feel as quality hydraulic shock absorbers. Front hubs, wheel bearings, seals, and studs are new. Recent wheel alignment performed. Front/rear brake drums, shoes, cylinders, and hoses are all new. Brake master cylinder, reservoir, and cap are all new. This car drives, steers, handles curves, and stops like new with no shimmy, shake, or vibration, rides very smooth in town and on the highway.

Electrical/Accessories

Everything electrical works, including hi/lo beam headlights, parking lights, license plate light, stop lights, reverse lights, turn signals, warning lights, dash lights, dome light, original AM radio, 2-speed wipers, heater/defroster, 3-speed fan, and horn. Speedometer and odometer work, with original miles indicated. Dual gauge for engine coolant temperature and oil pressure added to original instrument cluster where an optional clock (not equipped on this car) would have been installed. New battery and cables installed recently.

Included with the car are the original owner’s manual, factory repair manual, tune-up data sheets, maintenance log, and receipts for most of the new components listed above. Also included are a new set of original spark plugs, the original ignition points setup, a spare distributor cap and rotor, two engine oil filters, a spare taillight lens, a new carburetor kit and base gasket, a new “215” engine valve cover decal, and a can or factory Pontiac color engine paint. Located in Arroyo Grande, with clean title and registration paid through Feb 2025. The license plates shown in the pictures are YOM (year of manufacture) registered to me, which I’ve retained, standard issue license plates are currently on the car.
