If I want to do Trader mission or go collect Collectables with my buddies, can they join me and profit?
We all chose different Roles thinking this would be possible, but now I'm questioning how this works.

Yeah they can with all the roles. With Trader, Moonshiner and Bounty Hunter I don't think they make as much as you when they are your sidekick. They will need to have Collector role to be able to make money from getting items though, they also won't have access to the shovel or metal detector without owning Collector role. With Trader, Moonshiner and Bounty Hunter they can just tag along during sells, missions and bounties.

This, they get half profit from selling trader goods, not sure about other roles.

Collectibles are instanced for each player. I used to think otherwise and that it was a race until I saw a player come and pick up the same heirloom I just did. So in a posse, each player (provided they have the necessary Collector tools) can claim each collectible you come across.

Bounty Hunter:

Legendary Bounties, and Free Roam Bounty Targets payout the same for all Posse Memebers based on time spent
Events are PvEvP and payout based on Placement

Collector:

Collectibles spawns are instanced for each player

*WARNING*: Attempting to Dig or use the Metal Detector at the same time as another player will break that Dig/Metal Detector location for everyone in the lobby. Lobby hoping doesn't fix it, making the collectible unobtainable for the day.
*WARNING*: Shooting a nest with anything that's not a Small Game Arrow or the Varmint Rifle will break the egg for everyone in the lobby. Lobby hoping doesn't fix it, making the collectible unobtainable for the day.

Events are PvEvP. The reward is based on placement (number of collectibles found/finding the Condor Egg) and all Collectibles found during the event are kept

Moonshiner:

Bootlegger Missions only reward XP to Posse Members
Sell Missions pay a small amount of what the Posse Leader made to Posse Members (~20% of what the Leaders made. If the Leader made ~$240, Memebers would get ~$48)
Story Missions pay the same for everyone based on the time spent

Trader:

Donations only reward XP to the Posse Member that made the donation
Resupply Missions only reward XP to Posse Members. Depending on the mission, more Posse Members = more mission objects (1 object per member) = more Materials for Cripps (5 per mission object) and XP
Sell Missions pay Posse Members 50% what the Posse Leader made. (A $500 Local Sell would pay every Posse Member $250)
Trade Route is PvE and rewards are placement based (determined by the number of NPC killed) Everyone that's a Trader receives the Goods delivered

(Your Cripps doesn't produce Goods when you're in another Posse)

That should cover it.
