D.F.O. ETH 60mg/4mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines used in the treatment of pain due to muscle spasms. It improves the movement of muscles and provides relief from pain and discomfort associated with muscle spasms.
D.F.O. ETH 60mg/4mg Tablet may be taken with or without food. Take it in the dose and duration as precribed by the doctor. Do not take more or use it for a longer duration than recommended by your doctor.
Common side effects of this medicine include edema, dizziness, headache, palpitations, irregular heartbeats, high blood pressure, abdominal pain, constipation, and flatulence. If any of these side effects persit or bother you, you should let your doctor know. Your doctor may help with ways to reduce or prevent these side effects.
The medicine may not be suitable for everybody. Before taking it, let your doctor know if you have any problems with your heart, kidneys, and liver. D.F.O. ETH 60mg/4mg Tablet is a combination medicine that contains a painkiller as well as a muscle relaxant. It is used to relieve pain, inflammation, and swelling in conditions that affect muscles. Also, it effectively relieves muscle stiffness or spasm, thereby improving muscle movement. It works by blocking chemical messengers in the brain that tell us we have pain.
Take it as it is prescribed to get the most benefit. Do not take more or for longer than needed as that can be dangerous. In general, you should take the lowest dose that works, for the shortest possible time. This will help you to go about your daily activities more easily and have a better, more active, quality of life.

How to use D.F.O. ETH Tablet
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. D.F.O. ETH 60mg/4mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
How D.F.O. ETH Tablet works
D.F.O. ETH 60mg/4mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Etoricoxib and Thiocolchicoside, which relieves pain and relaxes the muscles. Etoricoxib is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) which works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling). Thiocolchicoside is a muscle relaxant. It works on the centers in the brain and spinal cord to relieve muscle stiffness or spasm and to improve pain and movement of muscles.

Kidney
SAFE IF PRESCRIBED
D.F.O. ETH 60mg/4mg Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of D.F.O. ETH 60mg/4mg Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
Use of D.F.O. ETH 60mg/4mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.
Liver
CAUTION
D.F.O. ETH 60mg/4mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of D.F.O. ETH 60mg/4mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Use of D.F.O. ETH 60mg/4mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease.
What if you forget to take D.F.O. ETH Tablet?
If you miss a dose of D.F.O. ETH 60mg/4mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Yes, D.F.O. ETH 60mg/4mg Tablet can be taken with Vitamin B-complex preparations. While D.F.O. ETH 60mg/4mg Tablet helps to relieve pain, Vitamin B-complex can help to correct the vitamin deficiency that might be causing your symptoms.
Q. Can the use of D.F.O. ETH 60mg/4mg Tablet cause damage to kidneys?
Yes, the long-term use of D.F.O. ETH 60mg/4mg Tablet can cause damage to the kidneys. Normal kidneys produce a chemical called prostaglandins that protects them from damage. Use of painkillers lowers the levels of prostaglandins in the body leading to kidney damage on long-term use. Use of painkillers is not recommended to patients with underlying kidney disease.
