Leonard "Lenny" Summers (1880-1899) is a major character from the 2018 video game Red Dead Redemption 2. At 19 years old, he is the youngest member of the entire Van Der Linde gang (not counting Jack Marston), but despite that, he still earns a spot in the gang as one of their shooters.
He was voiced by Harron Atkins.

Biography[]
Background[]
Lenny was born in 1880, the son of former African American slaves. His father taught him to read and write, but one night he was killed by two drunks, whom Lenny killed in revenge. He would later be forced to flee, and sometime in 1898 he met Dutch Van Der Linde, leader of the Van Der Linde gang. Dutch took him in, becoming the youngest member of the gang (not counting Jack Marston) and becoming a gunman. He would become interested in fellow gang member Jenny Kirk, and mourned her death.
Red Dead Redemption II[]
Lenny participated in the Blackwater Massacre, where he survived, being forced to flee with the rest of the gang to Colter. Lenny assisted the gang in the shootout against the O'Driscolls and also assisted them in the robbery of the magnate Leviticus Cornwall's train. The gang would eventually leave the mountains to settle in Horseshoe Overlook.
At one point, in Chapter 2, Lenny and Micah Bell were sent to investigate something in Strawberry, but Micah was arrested and sentenced to death for a double homicide, and Lenny managed to escape. Lenny reported this to Dutch. Dutch then sent Arthur Morgan and Lenny to get drunk at Valentine's bar so he could reassure the young man. Both Arthur and Lenny would get drunk, and Lenny would be arrested, while Arthur could also be arrested or managed to escape. Either way, Lenny gets out of prison and continues with the gang.
In Chapter 3, Lenny discovers the Lemoyne Raiders, a gang that sold weapons to different countries and that was in Shady Belle. Arthur and Lenny murder everyone on the spot, and steal a fair amount of guns for the gang. He also helps Arthur, Bill Williamson and Karen Jones rob Valentine's bank.
In Chapter 4, the gang decided to go to Shady Belle to save Jack Marston, which they successfully accomplished. Later, Lenny would help Arthur and Dutch rob a streetcar station in Saint Denis on the advice of the city's mobster, Angelo Bronte. The robbery failed as there was no money, as Bronte had set a trap for the gang so that they would later be ambushed by the city police. Dutch, Arthur and Lenny managed to escape. In retaliation for Bronte's betrayal, Dutch decided to assassinate him. This would lead to a tragic event for the gang.
After Bronte's death, Lenny participated in the Saint Denis bank robbery. Dutch hoped the Pinkertons weren't showing up, but he was wrong; Andrew Milton, Leader of the Pinkertons, appeared, holding Hosea Matthews hostage. Milton murdered Hosea in cold blood, leading to a fierce firefight between the gang and the Pinkertons. Dutch, Arthur, Javier, Bill, Micah and Lenny would make it up the roof. Lenny would take the lead and decide to go to the front. Unfortunately for him, some Pinkertons agents appeared out of nowhere and shot him dead. Arthur killed the agents, but it was too late; Lenny had died. The gang had no choice but to flee, and Arthur lamented the death of his partner for a few more seconds before fleeing.
Later, Sadie Adler and the rest of the gang would recover the bodies of Hosea and Lenny, and would bury them both in Bluewater Marsh.

- Lenny's friendship with Hosea is similar to Arthur and John's, as by the end, both Hosea and Arthur attempt to have them leave the gang.
