How important is it for a man to be financially stable before getting into a relationship?

A man’s financial stability is an important characteristic in his quest to becoming your significant other. This can be seen as the provider slash father figure, and without this stability there may not be enough money to sustain the future of your children.

This doesn’t mean however that a financially unstable man can’t be good for you. I’m sure many of you have dated or been in relationships with men who were not financially stable at first, but later on it didn’t become as big of a problem.
