i was so tickled to discover this movie existed like a month ago and then i forgot all about it until it all rushed back when i accused someone of single white femaling somebody i see it everywhere and it happens way more than you'd think! it could be happening to you! YOU COULD BE SINGLE WHITE FEMALING AND NOT EVEN KNOW IT! i love a bad DTV sequel no one asked for soooo much and this one is VERY BAD and NO ONE WANTED IT! i don't think this even coincided with a dvd release of the first one so like.... i'm really not sure what the point is? but then u get to thinkin.. what's the point of…

Its feels weirdly anarchic to watch a film as its own entity get bored of itself. Kind of like when youre telling a joke and you know the steam is out it but you gotta finish it because you arent rude and its christmas day.

Single White Female 2 The Psycho is not a good film at just a copy of the original movie

Review by Rich Trash🗑️ ★★½
Single White Female 2: The Psycho is one of the few dtv sequels that I haven't seen, until now. In the mid-2000s there was a string of sequels for movies that came out 10+ years prior to their existence. The Net, Road House, and 8mm come to mind. Like the other sequels, this is completely unneeded. The Net 2.0 was an in-name-only sequel and Road House 2 featured Dalton's son in a very similar story seen in Road House. SWF2 goes down the road of retelling the same story in Single White Female but sleazier with an almost but not exactly erotic thriller vibe. There is coded and forced lesbianism, a sex club in which the main character walks into…

Hahahahahaha honestly, what a vibe. I like that they flipped the script a bit here and made Holly/Nu Allie the one looking for a new apartment. Still, it is pretty much a close shot-by-shot remake of the first movie, and it is bizarre that this even got made… especially over a decade after the first.
What even is the company that Jan and Holly work for? Also how did the cops sweep that apartment and not see the pool of random blood in Tess’ room?!
I laughed out loud at the realtor when she said it was the meat/mad cow disease that was making everyone crazy. And WTF is that stray razor blade doing just hanging out like that?! Also LOST IT at the scene where Tess drugs the boyfriend character. Insane stuff. On top of the over-the-top acting, the vibe is very “6th Hellraiser sequel” and the outfits are hideous. A funny watch after seeing the first movie.

Dismiss them with all the ferocity you can muster, but I do have a soft spot for many of these irrational sequels from the noughties.
Despite its seductive key art, we're firmly in TV movie territory with an absence (by and large) of of sex, blood and general filth. The two leads are the definition of generic, and the plot is back of a beer mat stuff, BUT... BUT... I just lap movies like this up.
Perhaps it's that Hallmark boner I just can't seem to shake off, but whatever it is it's addictive drug and I just want MORE!

Two women walk up to the bar:
"Two champagnes, please." -
Review by Jimmy Homan ★★
For completely useless thriller sequels, I've seen worse, like Basic Instinct 2. Single White Female 2 does little to justify its existence, repeats many of the same story beats of the first, and is a downgrade in about every conceivable way. Yet, it is still vaguely watchable in a morbidly straight-to-video sense.
Added to Erotic Thriller/Drama/Neo-Noir/Crossovers/Adjacents.

sh*tty Sequel Sunday - where I check out the direct to home video sequels of mainstream movies
Single White Female had a woman invite a new roomate into her lavish apartment only to find the roomate start to mimic their way into her life. In this sequel the roles are reversed as we see a sucessful ad exec move into the apartment of a lonesome woman after her bf cheats. The new roomie who only wants the best for her new best friend.Something about actors using body doubles in an erotic thriller that feels . . . Safe. Its like the actors want to be in this kind of movie without fully commiting to it. This is actually how…
