Summer camps offered at St. Joseph High School

St. Joseph High School, Harrison, is offering camps for students this summer at the school, 800 Montana Ave., Natrona Heights.

Subjects include art, material science, drama, girls and boys basketball, girls cheer, boys baseball and co-ed soccer. Limited scholarships are available, and reservations are required. For reservations and more information, visit saintjosephhs.com/tickets.

Free summer food program available in New Kensington

The Nutrition Group and New Kensington-Arnold School District will sponsor a free summer food program for children 18 and younger.

Breakfast and lunch will be available Monday through Thursday June 10 to 27. Valley High School, 703 Stevenson Blvd., New Kensington, serve breakfast from 8:30 to 9:15 a.m. and lunch from 11:30 a.m. to noon. Roy A. Hunt Elementary School, 1701 Alcoa Drive, New Kensington, will serve breakfast from 9 to 9:45 a.m. and lunch from noon to 12:30 p.m.

Meals must be eaten in the school and no reservations are required.

Cash raffle to fund annual Independence Day fireworks

Summit Hose Company in Tarentum is conducting a cash raffle to fund the annual Community Fireworks Display planned at 10 p.m. July 3 at Dreshar Stadium.

Tickets are $5. Winning numbers will be the 7 p.m. Pa. Pick 3 numbers on 10 dates in July. For tickets, call 724-224-2555 in the evening or send cash or a check made out to Summit Hose with a self-addressed, stamped envelope to 321 W. Seventh Ave., Tarentum PA 15084.

Honky-Tonk Jukebox to be featured at Hartwood Acres

Country band Honky-Tonk Jukebox perform as part of the free 2024 Summer Concert series Sunday at Hartwood Acres Park Amphitheater, 4070 Middle Road, Hampton.

Gates open at 3 p.m. Black Dog Winery and Hop Farm Brewing trucks will be on site beginning at 6 p.m. and performance will begin at 7:30 p.m.

Bring a chair. Popup tents and umbrellas are permitted but must be taken down before the performance begins. Dogs are permitted but must be on a leash at all times and be up to date on all vaccinations and licensing. Owners must clean up after their dogs.

June 23: New Kensington Eagles Auxiliary will host a super bingo at 2 p.m. at St. Vladimir Ukrainian Catholic Church social hall, 1601 Kenneth Ave. Doors open at noon. There will be 14 regular games that pay $100; five specials, and a must-go $1,000 jackpot game; silent auction, small games of chance and a 50-50. Snacks, pop and water will be sold. No alcohol permitted. Cost: $40 in advance, includes lunch and bingo package. No seats can be saved. Proceeds will benefit club charities. Saturday: The Diaper Pantry at Christ Our Hope Anglican Church will distribute diapers from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church, 926 Painter Ave., and at Sheldon Park, both in Natrona Heights. Recipients must drive up and remain in their vehicles. First-time recipients must provide their own identification, the child’s birth certificate and a current WIC or SNAP card.

Jefferson

Sunday: Concordia Haven Retirement Apartments will host a free concert by the Penn-Trafford Community Band at 4 p.m. on the patio behind Haven II, 148 Marwood Road, entrance 5. Saturday: The ClothesLine Ministry at Bethesda Lutheran Church, 3084 Leechburg Road, will be open from 9 a.m. to noon. Clothing, shoes and purses will be sold for 25 cents each or five for $1. A bridal gown is available for $50. The jewelry room will be open. Please bring your own bags.

Saturday: The Joseph “Bud” Myers Farmers Market will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Bon Air School parking lot, 3260 Leechburg Road.
