As with National Honor Society, colleges do not care if you are in junior Beta club or Beta club. As Beta club is a function of your GPA and your volunteer efforts, colleges do not need this distinction to evaluate your application.
The National Beta Club is an honor organization that recognizes outstanding academic achievement, promotes strong moral character and social responsibility, encourages service to others, fosters leadership skills, and provides settings for you to develop strong interpersonal skills.

Members are expected to lead by example and must follow all rules set in the Beta Club by-laws. unweighted GPA of 3.5 or higher. Members who do not maintain the minimum required GPA throughout the year will be dismissed from the club.
National Beta's only o cial criteria, per our constitution states that all students must be performing at or above grade level in order to be eligible for membership and they must display: (a) worthy, moral and ethical character; (b) exemplary achievement, and commendable attitude.

What happens if you get kicked out of Beta Club?
Students who are removed from the club roster for any reason will NOT receive a refund for their dues. All Beta Club memberships established at the end of each school year will carry over to the following school year (with the exception of members who do not meet basic requirements).
Freshmen qualify for membership if they were inducted into Junior Beta Club in middle school. Membership for students beginning their sophom*ore, junior, or senior year requires that students have a 3.5 grade point average. This grade point average must be maintained throughout the remainder of their school year(s).
At our HS, Beta club is for students w/ an A average, while NHS requires a 94% average. Beta club requirements are somewhat flexible; some schools require a 3.0, others a 3.5. Some require more community service than others.

In my experience, they both involve community service. However, KEY focused more getting out there, hands on community service, etc. BETA provided more money for projects, did a few hands on projects, and has meeting with leaders. I think that are more school/academically involved than KEY, if that makes sense.
