What does Kai mean beta?
Kai is synonymous with Brotherhood, not punishment. The Kai Committee should build the brotherhood of our chapter and its individuals. Brothers are not brought to Kai because they are bad people. They are brought to Kai because they are good people (they are Betas), and they did something they could have done better.
Beta Theta Pi (ΒΘΠ), commonly known as Beta, is a North American social fraternity that was founded in 1839 at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. One of North America's oldest fraternities. Within each organization, chapters are usually referenced via a Greek-letter designation. For example, the founding chapter would be the “Alpha Chapter” and the second is typically the “Beta Chapter”, and so on.

Pledging lasts 4-6 weeks and involves education in the history of Beta Theta Pi and its traditions, whilst building unity within their individual pledge class. Pledges are expected to do at least one community service project and pass a written final on Beta lore.
