Camps in Red Dead Online offer players and their Posse a safe and communal space to rest while in Free Roam.
Often described as a centralized hub for players, Camps offer players and their posses a chance to access their Wardrobe, Craft Weapons and Tonics, Rest, and even Fast Travel - an option that requires a camp upgrade.
How To Move Your Camp To a New Location

If you have decided to pick up camp and move on to a brand new location, you can do so by accessing the Free Roam Menu by pressing the Left D-Pad and choosing the Camp option. Simply select your preferred size camp, followed by your brand new camp location. It's important to remember though, that every time you move a fee of $2 must be paid.
Camp Sizes
If you're confused as to which size camp you should select, here is a break downof each option:
- Small Camps can hold anywhere between 1 to 4 players, however, it will charge a daily $1 Camp Maintenancefee that can not be avoided.
- Large Campshave the abilityto hold anywhere between 1 and 7 players, however, it will charge a daily $2 Camp Maintenance fee that can not be avoided.It is also important to note, that only Persistent Posses have access to Large Camps.
