Don't sell your gold bars!!! John will inherit them all when he gets Arthur's satchel back. If you've already been to the pig farm spend all your money on clothes and guns as they'll all be inherited too.

While playing and exploring the borderline in Scarlett Meadows\New Hanover Area There's a sibling couple @Aberdeen Pig Farm who lures Arthur into having a meal with there.., PLEASE NOTE .DON'T ENCOUNTER THEM till the last Mission OR You'll lose your chances to retrieve the Arthur money when john comes to get Arthur's inheritance. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY... Follow the directions, You get One Chance unless you save your data to try again if you failed.
Just before you start your last mission "Our Best Selves" First go the Fence and sell every valuables you have. Then Go to the Aberdeen Pig farm and Save your data ..., Enter the house and follow their instruction But don't kill them. After they drugged you and taken your money, when you wake-up..,DO NOT RETURN BACK TO THEIR HOUSE!!!! Just go do the last Dutch's mission. After you completed Epilogue 1 as John Marston ... Go back to Aberdeen Pig Farm The couple had moved away but they forgot Arthur's money that hidden behind the portrait of their mother. Just remove the picture to receive Arthur hard earn money that was taken from him and plus $20 Grand after you find dutch. This method still works in the story-mode . Rockstar still hasn't patched it up!!!!!
