At King Soopers, we want to ensure your online grocery order arrives on time and in perfect condition. Please read the following shipping policy for important information on delivery fees, delivery days/times, service area, substitutions, and more.

Delivery Fees

  • Delivery fees for King Soopers online orders are $9.95 per scheduled delivery time.
  • Express delivery and alcohol delivery incur additional fees as below:
    • Express Delivery (within 2 hours): Additional $2.95 fee
    • Alcohol Delivery: Additional $4.95 fee
  • Delivery is FREE for King Soopers online orders over $35.
  • Fees are subject to change based on factors like location and time of delivery. Any delivery fee changes will be updated on our website.
  • Delivery fees help cover costs like driver pay and fuel so we can operate our service. Tipping your delivery driver is not required but always appreciated.

Delivery Days/Times

  • King Soopers offers delivery windows 7 days a week from 7AM to 10PM.
  • 1-hour delivery windows are available in select areas through our Express Delivery option. All other deliveries can be scheduled in 2-hour windows.
  • When checking out online, enter your zip code to view the available delivery days/times for your location.
  • Delivery windows are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. Schedule your delivery as soon as possible to secure your preferred time slot.
  • Delivery days/times vary by location and volume. More windows will become available as our delivery teams open up additional capacity.

Delivery Area

King Soopers delivers to much of the Denver-Boulder metro area as well as Fort Collins, Colorado Springs, Pueblo and other select locations.

  • To determine if delivery is available for your address, simply enter your zip code on our website during checkout.
  • We are continually expanding our delivery zones to reach more neighborhoods. If delivery is not yet available in your area, please check back soon as we add additional coverage.

Order Minimums

  • A minimum order total of $35 is required for online grocery delivery orders.
  • This minimum helps keep delivery prices low so we can better serve more customers. Smaller orders are always welcome for in-store pickup.
  • Alcohol delivery requires a separate $10 minimum on alcohol products, in addition to the $35 general minimum.
  • If your address happens to fall slightly outside our typical delivery area, a minimum order of $100 may apply to cover the extended distance.

Ordering Deadlines

To ensure we have enough time to properly fulfill and deliver your order, please note the following order deadlines:

  • Standard delivery:Orders must be placed by 10PM the day prior to your delivery date.
  • Express delivery:Orders must be placed at least 2 hours before your 1-hour delivery window begins.
  • You cannot schedule delivery times more than 5 days in advance. The latest available delivery date will display during online checkout.
  • If you miss the ordering deadline, please select a later delivery time. Orders canceled due to missed timelines may incur a $10 restocking fee.

Delivery Delays

Our team works hard to deliver all orders on time within your scheduled delivery window. However, delays can occasionally happen due to factors like traffic or weather. Here is how we handle delivery delays:

  • If we expect your delivery to be delayed more than 15 minutes beyond your window, our driver or support team will contact you with an estimated arrival time.
  • In the event of extensive delays impacting multiple orders, we may proactively reschedule delivery times and notify affected customers.
  • Delivery fees for delayed orders will be refunded automatically. You do not need to request a refund.
  • If you will not be available during the delayed timeframe, you can request to reschedule your delivery without penalty.
  • For delays exceeding 2 hours past the delivery window, affected orders will also receive a 10% refund of the order subtotal. This refund will be processed automatically within 3-5 business days.

Delivery Restrictions

King Soopers reserves the right to limit delivery quantities and refuse delivery under certain circ*mstances including, but not limited to:

  • Severe weather events, emergencies, or other situations impacting our ability to deliver safely and on time.
  • Reasonable suspicion of fraud, abuse of service, or violation of our policies.
  • Addresses outside our defined delivery zones or requiring unreasonable distance travel.
  • Products deemed unsafe or unlawful to deliver.

Failed Delivery Attempts

If we are unable to complete delivery due to reasons such as:

  • Customer is not present to accept order
  • No safe delivery location available
  • Access restrictions to premises

The order will be returned to the store. You will not be charged for the delivery fee, but a $10 restocking fee per order will apply. Unattended groceries cannot be left without customer acceptance.

Customer Responsibilities

To ensure timely deliveries, we ask customers to support our drivers by:

  • Providing correct delivery addresses and contact phone #s when ordering
  • Making arrangements for order receipt if not present
  • Ensuring clear access to the delivery address
  • Turning on exterior lights for evening deliveries
  • Controlling pets
  • Meeting drivers curbside if requested

We rely on customers to provide a safe delivery environment for our associates. Please contact Customer Care immediately if any issues arise during delivery.

Delivery Methods

  • Home Delivery: Orders are delivered directly to your home. Fees apply unless order is over $35.
  • In-Store Pickup: Order online for free pickup at your local King Soopers store. Choose a 1-hour pickup window.
  • Drive-Up & Go: Park in a designated drive-up spot at your store. We’ll bring out your order and load it into your car.

Substitutions

  • We work hard to fulfill your complete order, but item shortages or other issues may occasionally require substitutions.
  • Our pickers make appropriate substitutions using their best judgement based on brand, type, size and value.
  • By default, we’ll substitute comparable items without notifying you. However, you can choose “No substitutions” when ordering if you only want the exact items requested.
  • If you approve subs during checkout but prefer to be contacted about them, please include substitution instructions.
  • You are never charged for “upsized” substitutions (ex: substituting a larger size item at the same or lesser price).
  • If you are unsatisfied with any substitution for any reason, please contact Customer Care for resolution.

Checking In Orders

  • Our delivery drivers use order tracking technology to check in orders electronically upon delivery.
  • No signature is required. By placing your order, you authorize King Soopers to leave groceries in a safe location at your address during the time window selected.
  • The order automatically becomes your responsibility once delivery is completed by our driver.
  • You may request to be present for delivery if preferred. Please include this request when ordering or contact Customer Care.
  • Drivers cannot hand over groceries to an underage person without an adult present.

Damaged/Missing Items

  • Please inspect orders promptly upon delivery. Report any damaged items, quality concerns, or missing products to King Soopers Customer Care within 2 hours of delivery.
  • If the issue was our error, we will offer replacement, refund or credit as resolution. Photo evidence may be requested.
  • Perishable items are guaranteed only until the end of your scheduled delivery window. Notify us within 2 hours for resolution.
  • For ongoing out of stock items, please contact Customer Care so we can notify the store and prevent future shortages.
  • Our Customer Care team is available 24/7 to assist with any delivery-related issues by phone, chat or email.

Returns & Refunds

If any item needs to be returned for reasons such as:

  • Damaged/defective merchandise
  • Incorrect item received
  • Quality not as expected
  • Expired or short-dated product

Please contact King Soopers Customer Care within 2 hours of delivery to start a return.

  • If the return results from our error, we will issue a full refund by rescheduling a replacement item for free delivery.
  • If you simply want to exchange or return items you chose, we will refund the item cost but delivery fees are non-refundable.
  • Some restrictions apply to alcohol returns based on Colorado liquor laws.
  • For refunds, reimbursem*nt will be issued to your original payment method within 3-5 business days.
  • No returns or refunds can be made more than 2 hours after delivery except for vendor defects.
